Linda Garcia, age 9, and a student at Thomas Edison was 'holding the line' and wearing her "My Dad is a UNION ELECTRICIAN" T-shirt.

"I won't shop here!" was this man's statement as he left Safeway's parking lot. He had been given the UFCW flyer minutes earlier when he drove through the picket line.

"I won't shop here" is one of the best weapons we have against unfair corporate giants. If no one shopped at Wal-Mart, our non-shopping would drive it out of existence. A socially-conscious screening of all the businesses we deal with based on how they treat their employees, what they do to the environment, and similar concerns would make it possible for ethical, worker-friendly businesses to prosper while their cheap and shifty competitors fail. Shop for a better world and don't spend your money at stores that promote a race to the bottom for the working class. HOLD THE LINE!
