Local
1877 President Mike Garcia reassuring the crowd that Sacramento building
owners are enjoying the strongest real estate market in California
and can well afford to pay for janitors' family healthcare. Interestingly,
the same real estate owners that dominant Sacramento's market also
own buildings in S.F, Silicon Valley and Los Angeles. They have agreed
to decent pay and family health insurance for the janitors who clean
their buildings in those cities, so why not in Sacramento? Mike Garcia
finished by saying "We don't want to strike, but we are ready
to do whatever is necessary to achieve our goals." |
