important part of any political action is letting the citizenry know
what's going on. The spectacle of people marching with banners and
chanting gets their attention, but if they don't know why it's happening,
they will not boycott businesses, write to their legislators, or understand
what other workers' lives are like. Here a Local 1877 member distributes
an educational flyer to cafe diners. |
