Sacramento
Central Labor Council's seventh annual "Salute to Labor"
awards dinner celebrating excellence and leadership in the fight for
social and economic justice took place on August 4, 2005 at the Radisson
Hotel. The evening's theme "Contract with Working Families"
was strongly supported in introductory remarks by California State
Treasurer Phil Angelides and Keynote speaker Senator Barbara. |

outdoor reception preceded the program, giving participants an opportunity
to mingle and sample a variety of tasty hors d'oeuvres. |
