"The
Organizer and the Organized"--- During the organizing process
at MHS, I found myself doing a lot of things I would have classified
as "outside my personal boundaries." Public speaking, hounding
people to sign things, to vote, to show up --these were all on the
"I don't do that" list, but we (organizing committee at
each of the MHS hospitals) were hounded and inspired to do them, and
we did, and now we're in the Union! Well, then it seemed as though
"SOMEONE SHOULD THANK THOSE ORGANIZERS FOR INSPIRING US TO DO
THIS ASTONISHING THING" and so the Central Labor Council did
and I did. |
